Our U14 Second team took on Ennis Town tonight in Lees road in their last league game of the season. Ennis town had the better of the early exchanges but Avenue grew into the game and went ahead thanks to a goal from Dylan Fitzsimons. Ennis town came back strong though and went into the half time break 2:1 up. The second half was end to end football. Avenue drew level thanks to a goal from Mehdi Souih. However shortly afterwards Ennis town re took the lead. Avenue piled on the pressure and found an equaliser through Robbie Clarke. Avenue then went into a 4:3 lead thanks to a goal from Conor Guerin. In the closing minutes Ennis town won a free kick on the right hand side and from the free managed to secure an equaliser. 4:4 was how it finished

Well done to both teams for putting on such an exciting game

A special mention to the Avenue supporters on the sideline who created such a great atmosphere throughout the game. It is always lovely to see players from other Avenue teams/age groups turn up to support their club mates.
