Liam Roche, a popular member of Avenue FC and Naomh Eoin GAA clubs recently suffered a serious spinal stroke which has left him unable to walk.
He has been well cared for at Temple Street Children's Hospital but will need several months of treatment before he gets back on his feet again.
Liam is the son of Patrick and Diane Roche from Cross, Co. Clare. Patrick is a well-known musician in the county.
Patrick and Diane, take it in turn to stay with Liam every day and night at Temple Street hospital.
This puts a large financial burden on the family in terms of travel and accommodation costs and additional medical bills.
