Well done to our Junior B Team who were victorious in their League Cup Final earlier this afternoon - well done to all players and coaches involved 👏👏 

We got off to great start with a great strike from  Leon Whyte that hit the underneath of the crossbar and into the back of the net . We were extremely unlucky not to increase the lead after a couple of narrow misses and a couple of efforts that hit the opposition woodwork . 1-0 it remained at half time. 
Newmarket to their credit pulled a goal back in the second half and with a penalty shootout looming , we were awarded a penalty in the dying minutes of the game . Drama at the death!!  Unfortunately the penalty came crashing off the crossbar yet again but fortunately for us Gary Roche was quickest to react in the box and dispatched to the back of the net . 2-1 to the Avenue 🎶
