Our Under 16 Girls squad came up against a very strong Connolly Celtic team on Monday . Credit to our Girls who displayed a positive and much improved second half performance and kept going right until the full time whistle .

Fantastic display by our second Under 16 squad this evening taking on the league leaders. After going a goal down midway through the first half our boys finished the half strongly getting an equaliser from a Michael Udobi free kick. Unbelievably we took a halftime lead after Robbie Clarke finished from a tight angle. 
Newmarket hit the ground running in the second half scoring 3 goals without reply to lead 4-2. A second Robbie Clarke goal from the penalty spot made it 4-3. Game on! Newmarket made it 5-3 only for Avenue to hit back again through a deflected Michael Udobi free kick. 5-4 with only 5mins left. Avenue pushed for an equaliser only to get caught on the break at the death and Newmarket ran out 6-4 winners. Credit to both teams but fair play to our lads who never dropped their heads and fought to the end.
