Well done to our Under 17 squad who played their first game in a couple of weeks this afternoon against an in form and very good Shannon Town side . We took an early lead but Shannon bounced back quickly with an equaliser . To our boys credit they continued to play and went in at half time 3-1 up . We found ourselves 4-1 up early in the second half but to Shannon Towns credit they responded well and got their second goal of the game . 4-2 to the Avenue it remained until the full time whistle .
Well done to all Players and Coaches involved for getting to the Cup Final . Thanks to all supporters who attended this afternoons game . Thanks to Match Official Pa Gleeson for allowing the game be played in a sporting manner .
