Our Under 12 National Cup team made the trip to Dublin to take on Corduff . Our Boys found themselves 2-0 down early on but battled hard and were rewarded with a great goal scored by Dara Brohan . Our Boys continued to work hard but unfortunately could not manage to get the second goal that was needed to level the game , we conceded a third goal right at the end as we pushed for an equaliser. Thanks to Corduff for hosting us this afternoon and for the hospitality shown to our boys .

Similarly to our Under 12s , our Under 14 National Cup squad found themselves a goal down early on when the Cork opposition were rewarded a penalty and they converted . However , our Boys reacted well , a great run from midfield and a great cross into the box found the feet of Dan Brohan who made no mistake and slotted home the equaliser .
1-1 Half Time .

The Avenue Boys began the second half brightly , creating numerous chances , however they couldn’t find the back of the net . As the saying goes “When you don’t take your chances , you get punished “ and unfortunately that is what happened , Corinthians were rewarded a free kick from distance and the long ball into the box was not dealt with and the ball found itself in our own net .
Credit to our Boys who kept on going right until the final whistle but unfortunately on the day we could not get the second goal .
A trip to Kerry is up next for our Under 14 National Cup squad as we travel to play St. Brendan‘s Park in a Munster 1/4 Final
