Press Statement
This Last Man Standing competition was announced to the clubs of CDSL last Monday. The feedback from the clubs has been very positive.
A number of CDSL affiliated clubs have even made contact to thank CDSL as they do not have to organise a fundraiser for themselves this year as this initiative will in fact fundraise sufficiently for their clubs needs for this season.
Other clubs have indicated that it is great to see some real fund-raising going on to help with the development of Frank Healy Park.
The competition format is specifically designed to not burden clubs it is in fact a complete win win. Clubs get 45% of each ticket sale CDSL get 40% with the
remaining 1.5% going towards prizes, costs and administration. Every club will in effect have run an effective fundraiser February 14th and has the prospect of fundraising considerably more than this.
Every club that has contacted the committee is thrilled at this prospect, especially as they have no administration effort to do towards the running of this initiative.
CDSL invites people to make contact with members of their local Junior Club to get their entry to the biggest Last Man Standing around.
